K2 Bike is getting their hands dirty with new product development. For release in 2011, K2 will be bring two new platforms to the mountain bike line up. These models will be sold in the US as well as K2’s international distribution channels.
The first platform is a 5.2” travel dual suspension chassis which is targeted for trail and all-mountain riding. It will feature a 4 bar linkage, sealed bearing pivots, tapered steerer, and plastic formed tube-set.
The second platform is a 29” wheeled hardtail which will be available with 1X9 gearing. The frame will feature a zero stack head tube to keep the front end low and a hydroformed tube-set that is designed to cancel chattering and vibration.
